The South is Rising for a Clean Energy Future!

Energy Justice Georgia Summer Retreat this coming weekend, 10-13th July, is looking like it will have a great turnout from some of Georgia’s rockin’ campus/youth organizers from around the state. Tackling issues such as no new coal, no nuclear, anti-oppression, and community organizing, youth will take away skills, knowledge, and mindsets to begin working on these and other campaigns throughout Georgia. Working in Sandersville, Ga, the newest city to have a 850 MW coal-fired power plant proposed, youth will engage in listening projects, listening to the stories and concerns that community members themselves feel as this proposal is on the table.

And with South Carolina’s recently posted Energy Justice Camp on July 18-20th, the next two weeks are looking like two radical weeks of solidarity and power building in the southeast!

If you would like more information, or want to join either camp for some really great sharing and base-building, check out!
